Constant Current Charging Circuits for High Energy Modulators.

Abstract

A technique to achieve square wave charging of the pulse forming networks in line type pulser has been investigated. The proposed circuit uses parallel PFNs with charging inductors connected between PFNs. The charging network pulse width equals the interpulse time for the pulser. Experimental and computer data is presented for the circuit. (Author)
