Optimal Frequency Separation in Cylindrical Shells.

Abstract

A new and powerful algorithm is applied to the problem of optimal frequency separation of stiffened cylindrical shells. New methodology is introduced which allows the simultaneous separation of several modes of vibration. Results indicate that the procedure can effectively deal with this difficult optimization problem. (Author)
