Effect of Hydrogen content on Embrittlement and Stress Corrosion Susceptibility of Ti-8Al-1Mo-1V Alloy.

Abstract

The phase of this Independent Research Project dealt with the affect of cathodic charging on Ti-8Al-1Mo-1V alloy. This method is used as a comparison to the hydrogen absorption that occurs in the chemical processing of this alloy. Cantilever beam specimens were used in testing for K(I) - K(I)SCC values (stress intensity values). (Author)
