Determination of True Elevations from Aerial Photographs.

Abstract

There are many problems involved in the determination of accurate elevations from tilted photographs. Plotting machines such as the Wild A-7 are able to compensate for tilt and provide accurate elevations, however, these machines are expensive and not available to many researchers. This report describes a set of procedures and a computer program for the determination of ground elevations to the same general degree of accuracy as that obtained with plotting machines. The procedures involve parallax measurements and location of points within a stereoscopic model. (Author)
