The Effect of Search Radius on Search efficiency when the Targets Must be Visited.

Abstract

This paper proposes and evaluates a general search function which can be used for determining the efficiency of a search in which the searcher is required to visit the maximum number of targets in an allotted period of time. A lower bound on this function is presented as a consequence of the 'semimyopic' strategy utilized in the simulation. (Author)
