An Experimental Investigation of a Subscale Variable Pressure Ratio High Thru Flow Turbine.

Abstract

This program investigates the aerodynamics of a subscale model of a variable pressure ratio high through flow turbine. The problem areas are: Small limit loading margin, High rotor relative inlet Mach number, Low aspect ratio blading, Large rotor turning, and Low hub/tip radius ratio.
