An Experimental Study of Magnetic Materials and Magnetic Transitions.

Abstract

The most important accomplishments of this project are the development of a new method for the determination of critical indices; the determination of critical indices for Europium, Rutetium and Yttrium Iron Garnets, and nickel-copper alloys; the emergence of a unified correlation between the Neel temperatures and anomalies in the electrical transport properties of numerous binary chromium alloys; the new studies of the behavior of localized magnetic moment in itinerant electron antiferromagnetic; the partial mapping of the magnetic phase diagram of the gadolinium-samarium system; and the demonstration of the existence of localized magnetic moments in paramagnetic nickel and binary nickel alloys at high temperatures.
