Staffing and Manning a Large Data Processing Installation.

Abstract

Manning Guides and standards, to be realistic and effective, must be developed from hard-core workload factors with units of measure that are factual, relative, and will result in a reasonable requirement for people to staff an applicable function. To be acceptable to management for the manning standards must satisfy not only todays operating requirements, but likewise provide for the capability of forecasting realistic requirements into the foreseeable future.
