Summary of Research on Structural Relaxation, Electrical Relaxation, Phase Separation and Microstructure in Glasses.
Abstract
The study of glasses and glass-forming liquids (vitreous materials) constituted an area of basic research in chemistry rich in immediate applications to technology of importance to the Air Force. The fundamental output of this contract has been 18 basic scientific publications in the general areas of (1) micro-structure and phase separation, (2) electrical relaxation phenomena and (3) viscoelastic and structural relaxation in molten glasses.
