Study to Analyze New Cumberland Army Depot's Consolidation and Containerization Point.

Abstract

This paper reports on a study to analyze operations of New Cumberland Army Depot's Consolidation and Containerization Point (CCP). The study considered various operational aspects of the CCP, namely; Procedures, flow of information, and procedures, physical facilities and availability of ships and vans. A simulation model was used to establish optimum van loads. Recommendations for improving CCP operations, including improved van utilization are a part of the study. (Author)
