A Queueing Model for a Technical Control Facility.

Abstract

This paper develops a queueing model for one possible operating rule for a technical control facility. As suggested in one reference a military technical control facility can be considered as a multiserver queueing system. One possible operating rule, the situation where one and only one of the servers may periodically leave the facility, has not been considered previously in the queueing theory literature. This paper gives an exact analysis, as well as presenting several approximations, to the steady state behavior of the system.
