Numerical Methods for Stiff Nonlinear and Quadratic Differential Equations.

Abstract

This contract was concerned with research in nonlinear and linear stability of multistep methods, special high-order A-stable methods, fractional linear difference schemes for quadratic differential equations, and rotational solutions of the Josephson phase equations. This report summarizes the results obtained in each of these four areas, and gives references to the full accounts appearing in various research papers.
