The Interpretation of Polymer Data.

Abstract

Using a log normal model for molecular weight distribution, drag curves can be predicted which agree with experiments in pipe flow. Working back from pipe flow data, average molecular weights or concentrations can be estimated from drag curves. Illustrations are given for a recent water tunnel test and data in the literature.
