Recommendations for Thermal Consolidation of Weak Clayey Soils (Rekomendatii po Termokonsolidatii Clavkh Glinistkh Gruntov).

Abstract

The present recommendations are intended for surveyors, designers, and production workers, responsible for pre-construction consolidation of foundations, composed of weak water saturated clay and mud soil, and for their compression by reduced static loads with simultaneous heating to some optimum temperature in the range from 323-353 K (50-80 C).
