An Evaluation of the Dental-Medical History.

Abstract

The medical histories in the dental records of 100 randomly selected active duty personnel at Walter Reed Army Medical Center were compared with their medical records. Eleven discrepancies of major medical significance were found. In order to eliminate these errors and their potential complications, it is recommended that patients presenting for dental examinations bring their medical records with them.
