Propagation Effects of Steep Striations

Abstract

This report describes the fluctuations in intensity that occur when a radio signal traverses striated ionization. The difference in the severity of the effects for steep and gentle striation edges is shown to be a function of the product of signal wavelength and distance from the striations.
