Antenna Design as a Partial Basis Problem.

Abstract

The following problem comes from that of choosing best locations for antenna elements in a linear array. Given a function f and linearly independent functions hsub1, hsub2..., hsubn, choose, for a given n(<N), n of the h's to give a closest linear approximation of f. Both a computational algorithm and theoretical results are given.
