Toxicological Evaluation of Carboranylmethyl Propionate.

Abstract

The relative toxicity of technical grade carboranylmethyl propionate was investigated using rats, guinea pigs and rabbits. Compounds produced acute primary skin irritation and was classified only slightly toxic when applied dermally. It was classified moderately toxic by ingestion, with no deleterious effects found after acute and subchronic saturated vapor inhalation exposure.
