Water and Related Land Resources Management Study. Volume II. Background Information Appendix.

Abstract

As defined in the Congressional Committee resolutions, the study area includes Washington, Douglas, Sarpy, and Cass Counties in Nebraska and Harrison, Pottawattamie, and Mills Counties in Iowa. The seven-county study area includes the Missouri River and adjacent land areas, and contributing drainage areas of tributary streams which enter the Missouri River between Blair, Nebraska on the north and Plattsmouth, Nebraska on the south. The objectives of this study are: development of a coordinated water and related land resource management program; and provision of information and analyses tools to assist other agenices in their decisions regarding water resources.
