Abstract

The scope of the analysis presented is best defined by the overall objective of this issue paper: to demonstrate the emerging concept that water resource planning should accurately reflect the interaction between land use and water resources so that water resource development plans will be in harmony with projected land use patterns. As a result, the analysis consists of a broad assessment of several key issues related to land use and their impact on water resources.
