Tactical Display of CZ Propagation Area.

Abstract

The need for an enhanced display of the geographic distribution convergence-zone propagation in a region of shallow and variable bottom topography is demonstrated. A preliminary display is generated utilizing point-by-point computer processing of the convergence-zone minimum depth requirements with a large bathymetric data base for a region north of the Azores. The trade-offs between the accuracy of the preliminary output and cost (computer time and space) are discussed. (Author)
