Flow Calibration of the Laser Test Shelter Airflow Duct.

Abstract

This report documents an experimental flow field mapping conducted in the airflow duct of the laser/fuels/airflow facility. Velocity distributions throughout the test section and in wall boundary layers were measured and correlated with flight data on typical aircraft boundary layer conditions. Flight conditions are reasonably simulated by the observed airflow, both with and without artificial boundary layer thickening. (Author)
