Rare Earth Ion-Host Lattice Interactions. 5. Lanthanides in CaWO4.

Abstract

In this work, the results of calculations of energy levels and transition probabilities for the lanthanides in CaWO4 is reported. This material was one of the earlier laser host materials, and an abundance of experimental data are available, for comparison with our calculations on the energy levels and electric dipole transition probabilities for the triply ionized lanthanides from Pr to Tm.
