Fuel Cell Stacks.

Abstract

Manufacturing methods and techniques for phosphoric acid fuel cell stack production were developed. Electrodes, matrices, and bipolar gas distribution plates for cells with an active area of 0.4 sq. ft. were produced and tested. Assembly and testing of 2-, 10-, and 35-cell stacks was performed. Stacks were operated at 320F for up to 4,000 hours, and tolerance to CO was demonstrated. (Author)
