Development and Operational Tests 1: XM-1 Main Battle Tank Project.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to provide some insight as to how the XM-1 project management office (PMO) organized, planned, and executed DT/OTI from concept through validation. It begins with how the XM-1 PMO organized for test and then takes the reader through the evolution of test plans, their execution, and provides a limited analysis regarding some problems encountered during plan execution.
