Pavement Evaluation System.

Abstract

This report describes the current (1976) Air Force method for load evaluation of airfield pavements. The technique makes use of wave-propagation data and finite-element computer codes to determine the load capacity of pavements. The computer code also provides an estimate of the remaining service life of the pavement from failure criteria for the various layers of the pavement. (Author)
