Cavitation Results for a Secondary Flow Generated Trailing Vortex.

Abstract

Limited cavitation numbers were obtained for a trailing vortex generated by the interaction of a boundary layer and a rotor when the boundary layer thickness is the same order of magnitude as the rotor radius. The results were obtained for various boundary layer profiles and velocities in the 48-inch diameter water tunnel. (Author)
