Some Preliminary Results on Detection in Laplace Noise.

Abstract

The problem of the discrete time detection of a known constant signal in additive white stationary Laplace noise is considered. Both the Neyman-Pearson optimal detector and the linear detector are treated. Convenient expressions for the distribution functions of the test statistics are given. These expressions allow one to determine the performance of the detectors in a computational convenient manner. (Author)
