Communications Systems Modeling Study.

Abstract

This report summarizes the results of a study on the transmission of digitally encoded voice channels, with several multiple access techniques and traffic patterns. 16 kb/s variable slope delta modulation and three modulation/access techniques were studied: PSK-SCPC, TDM-PSK-FDMA and TDMA. Three hypothetical traffic models were generated, ranging in traffic from 80 to 1100 one-way voice channels with 10 to over 200 earth stations.
