Proceedings of the Workshop on Numerical Hydrodynamics.

Abstract

The potential of numerical fluid dynamics as a design tool for naval architects and hydrodynamicists is explored both in formal presentations and in informal discussion. The status of ship design and the theory and procedures of fluid dynamics are discussed in the light of the present and potential status of numerical hydrodynamics and requisite computer capability. Conclusions are drawn regarding promising avenues of further research. (Author)
