Analysis of Time Between Failures for Repairable Components.

Abstract

A method for analyzing time between failure data is developed. The method uses total time on test plots for a nonhomogeneous Poisson process failure model. Engine failure data is used to illustrate the method. A graphical method for determining optimum replacement intervals is presented. (Author)
