Experimental Study Concerning Task Difficulties Resulting from Various Factors of Age, Illuminance and Visual Performance.
Abstract
This paper researches the factors of illumination, age and task design and their effects on visual performance. An experimental design is developed to show that people in older age brackets (40 to 50 years of age) can perform visual tasks, under high illumination levels, as well as people in younger age brackets (20 to 30 years of age) but as the illumination level decreases, task performances drop.
