Dredge Disposal Study, San Francisco Bay and Estuary. Appendix E. Material Release.

Abstract

The report presents the results of sediment circulation studies in the northern portion of San Francisco Bay. Work included the development of a numerical model and the conduct of a long term sediment tracer study using neutron activation methods. The tracer program used quantitative techniques to measure the vertical distribution of dredged sediments at select stations covering a 100-square mile area over a ten-month period. (Author)
