Fire Toxicology: Methods for Evaluation of Toxicity of Pyrolysis and Combustion Products.

Abstract

After reviewing methods currently being used for evaluating the toxicity of pyrolysis/combustion products, the Committee has concluded that acceptable screening tests for evaluating these toxicities are not currently available, as all present methods have one or more shortcomings. The Committee has prepared guidelines for developing the needed methodology and has made recommendations for additional research. (Author)
