Guidelines for the Generation and Use of Data in Military Handbook 17A, Part 1

Abstract

The procedures used for evaluating and characterizing fiberglass, boron, graphite and aramid reinforced composites are described as they apply to the 1971 revision of MIL-HDBK-17A, 'Plastics for Aerospace Vehicles, Part 1, Reinforced Plastics.' The fabrication of test panels, the mechanical and physical properties considered, the test methods, the environmental conditions for testing and methods for presenting data are included.
