Cumulative Damage Fracture Mechanics at Elevated Temperatures.

Abstract

The interpolative hyperbolic sine model for mission-mix crack growth was used to predict the propagation histories and cycles-to-failure for two specimen geometries (compact tension and surface crack) at two temperatures (1000 F and 1200 F). Results were encouraging with an average prediction error of less than 15%. (Author)
