Emission and Absorption at Wavelengths of 8.6 mm and 2.0 cm as Determining Factors of T sub e and N sub e in the Filament.

Abstract

Observations of filaments at radio wavelengths show them as depressions against a quiet solar background. Until recently, simple models have been used to explain these observations. More detailed models have been developed and these are discussed together with past efforts at solar observations in order to better define these filaments. (Author)
