Abstract

This report summarizes the results of the administration of the Electronic Principles Inventory to airmen assigned as Telephone Switching Equipment Repairman/Electro-Mechanical Specialist (AFSC 36251). The report gives a detailed listing of the technical tasks and knowledge needed to perform the jobs within the specialty or career ladder. This specialty has the following functions: Installs and maintains all types of electro/mechanical telephone switching equipment. Installs telephone switching equipment. Maintains telephone switching equipment such as manual switchboards, step-by-step, and X-Y automatic dial systems. Monitors and analyzes performance of wire systems. Supervises telephone switching equipment personnel. (Author)
