High Power Controller and ICS.

Abstract

High power, all-electronic HF, LF and VLF amplitude and phase controllers are surveyed for use in adaptive Interference Cancellation Systems (ICS). A two-channel HF ICS breadboard is designed and built for use at high power. While the testing is general, one area of particular interest is simultaneous transmission and reception at frequency spacings to close to be realizable with filters. The system aspects of the HFICS are covered in some detail. In view of the limitations of both HFICS and the transceivers with which it may be used, it is concluded that a single channel lower power version of the HFICS should prove of use in airborne applications.
