Abstract

This report represents a series of comparative analyses of predominantly defense oriented and commercially oriented companies. Heavy emphasis is placed on profitability analyses and capital investment trends from 1967 to 1974. The study includes the results of a survey on industry's attitude toward defense business, the analysis of direct and indirect costs, a market analysis of the defense market and an eight-year price growth of comparable defense and commercial products.
