Nominal 60-NITINOL EOD Tools - Production Investigation and Evaluation

Abstract

An investigation of several methods for producing nominally 60-NITINOL Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) tools is described. Three tool types were produced by shell mold casting techniques and are mechanically evaluated by comparison with similar tools of forged steel and beryllium-copper.
