The Complex Compliances of Quartz.

Abstract

The imaginary part of the complex compliance matrix, denoted as the fluency, is defined, and the elements are computed for alpha-quartz. Its application to low frequency vibrators is discussed. The role of motional time constants in characterizing resonator behavior is also described and applied to the minus 18.5 degree bar. (Author)
