Method for the Study of Infiltration under Field Conditions: First Results (Une Methode pour l'Etude de L'Infiltration au Champ: Premiers Resultats),

Abstract

The method consists of estimating the penetration of rainwater by the reaction of tensiometers located at different depths. It permits calculating the rates of infiltration and of drainage (or of redistribution) as well as the extent of saturation of the soil by the feedwater. At a second stage, these results can be related to the characteristics of the soil (porosity, initial moisture content, water deficit) and to the rainfall intensity. (Author)
