Organic Compounds in Turbine Combustor Exhaust.

Abstract

Trace organic compounds in aircraft turbine combustor exhaust were determined as functions of fuel type and engine operating pressure (power setting). Hydrocarbons were collected by multistage cryogenic sampling. Chemicals were analyzed by a coupled gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer-data system. Results are presented in the context of assessment of biomedical impact of aircraft operations. (Author)
