Photooxidation and Accelerated Testing of Polypropylene.

Abstract

The objectives of the research covered by this report were to consider several approaches to the testing problem and to study in more detail the approach found most promising. Several methods were examined for following reactions during the induction period. They have been grouped in this report into three major sections: Chemical Methods, Light Absorption and Emission Methods and Physical Changes. The most promising and practical approach to accelerated testing now appears to be the transducer-monitored pressure change.
