Program Documentation for the Head Switching Software Package.

Abstract

The Head Switching Software Package is a system of programs which provide the capability to study item selection and switch activation by an operator's head line of sight. Data is gathered on the speed and accuracy of accomplishing discrete pointing tasks with the helmet mounted sight and stored on magnetic tape for subsequent data analysis. The programs were written for an IBM System/370, Model 155 computer running under the standard MFT version of the Operating System. Assembler language was used in coding the executive program and Fortran was used for the subroutine programs. The IBM System/370 Operating System Graphic Subroutine Package (GSP) for Fortran IV was utilized for the graphic software support. (Author)
