Characterization of Fatigue Crack Growth in Bonded Structures. Volume 2. Analysis of Cracked Bonded Structures

Abstract

Analytical techniques to analyze cracked, adhesively bonded, weldbonded and brazed multilayered structures have been developed. Two different methods of analyses, namely finite element and mathematical are outlined. In the finite element method, each layer is modeled as two dimensional structure and the adhesive is represented by shear elements.
