A Primer on Nuclear Weapons Capabilities,

Abstract

The series of papers is intended to clarify and explain various aspects of nuclear weapons phenomenology and usage. These papers are prepared in as nontechnical a fashion as the subject matter permits. The intent of this nuclear note is to provide a simple text to provide a basic understanding of the importance of nuclear weapons on the battlefield for the soldier and officer, who has not received formal training in the capabilities of nuclear weapons available to the tactical commander. This nuclear note should put into perspective nuclear effects as they pertain to the modern battlefield.
