Evaluation of an Impulse Testing Technique for Nondestructive Testing of Pavements.

Abstract

This report documents the results of a study concerned with the evaluation of a proposed technique to perform nondestructive load evaluations of airfield pavements. This technique consists of determining the speed of propagation of the phase velocities through the various layers of a pavement system. A research plan to further develop the technique is also recommended. This plan contains statements of work, equipment recommendations, a proposed budget, and a schedule. (Author)
