Basic Research on Mist Flammability--Phase I, Experimental Facility Development.

Abstract

A rugged, modular flame tube has been developed for use in studying laminar flame speeds and lean limits of both premixed vapors and heterogeneous mist systems. The flame tube design incorporates a mist inlet slit where optical measurements can be made. The thin sheet of mist then expands in the flow and fills the cross-section of the flame tube. (Author)
